Create a manifest with init, then use qr to open your dev server on the glasses. Both commands work without signing in.
evenhub init
Writes a starter app.json. Use it in a project that does not already have a manifest.
bash
evenhub init
evenhub init --directory ./my-app
evenhub init --output ./config/app.json| Option | Description |
|---|---|
-d, --directory <dir> | Output directory; defaults to the current directory |
-o, --output <path> | Output file; takes precedence over --directory |
Edit the package ID, version and SDK requirement before packing. The scaffold includes the app and SDK version requirements bundled with the CLI release. See the manifest schema and pack-time version rules.
evenhub qr
Generates a QR code for a running dev server. Scan it in the Even Realities app to preview your app on the glasses. Keep the dev server running for hot reload; the QR command exits after generating the code.
bash
evenhub qr --url http://192.168.1.100:5173
evenhub qr --ip 192.168.1.100 --port 5173 --path /my-app
evenhub qr --url http://192.168.1.100:5173 --external
evenhub qr --clearUse your computer's LAN address. The phone must be able to reach that URL; Local Testing covers network setup and scanning.
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
-u, --url <url> | Full URL; overrides the individual URL options |
-i, --ip <host> | IP address or hostname |
-p, --port [port] | Port; pass -p without a value to omit the port |
--path <path> | URL path; adds a leading / if needed |
--https, --http | Scheme; passing both exits 1 |
-e, --external | Save the QR image and open it in an image viewer |
-s, --scale <n> | External image scale; defaults to 4 |
--clear | Delete the URL cache and exit |
How the URL is assembled
--url supplies the complete URL. Otherwise, each part is resolved separately:
| Part | First choice | Fallback |
|---|---|---|
| Scheme | --https or --http | Cached scheme, then http |
| Host | --ip | Cached host, then detected LAN address |
| Port | --port | Cached port, then an interactive prompt |
| Path | --path | Cached path, then an interactive prompt |
If LAN address detection fails, the CLI exits 9. Supply --ip or --url explicitly.
The cache
The URL’s scheme, host, port and path are saved in qr.yaml in the CLI config directory. A later evenhub qr reuses those parts. Query strings and fragments are not cached; pass the full --url again when needed. --clear removes the cache.
In a non-interactive shell, a missing port or path exits 1. Supply --url, or both --port and --path, when scripting.
